Not even out in the shops yet, Life, Interrupted has been made the longlist of only twenty books for the 2009 Waterstone's Children's Book Prize, receiving early praise such as: 'a gentle surprise', 'heartwarming and heartbreaking,' 'deals with a lot of life issues, but is never heavy-handed,' and even 'much better than Before I Die'!

Scheduled for release in January 2009, it is already generating ethusiasm and praise, including from Jacqueline Wilson, who said: 'Life, Interrupted is a lovely, warm, funny book – though searingly sad at times. I wish I'd written it.'
