I live in Hayes, Kent with my partner and a little cat called
Willow. I have lived in this area all my life with the exception
of three years I spent studying for a BA in Illustration at the
University of Brighton.
I’ve been working with Piccadilly since leaving Brighton
in 1995. My first picture book was Barty’s Scarf and I’m
now working on my ninth book, Wilbie and Harry. Toffee, star
of four Piccadilly titles, still lives with my parents nearby
– much to the amusement of some of their younger visitors.
When I’m not working, I love the garden – it provides
the perfect excuse for fresh air when I’ve been at my desk
too long and every time I go out there is something new to see.
I also love a good rummage in junk shops, auctions and car boot
sales, hoping to find that elusive bargain! Living in a 1930s
house I am always looking out for a nice piece of art deco, but
can rarely afford it! |
