Fran Evans was brought up in a Welsh village near the sea.
She has been drawing since she was a small child and after leaving
school took a BA in graphic design. She has worked at a wide range
of jobs from research assistant for Whale Watching in Australia
to painting murals and designing ceramic tiles.
Fran’s first picture book was published in 1999 and since
then she has been published extensively. She has written and
illustrated Little Whale’s Song and two Fairy Hill books – The
Summer Ball and Butterfly Fairy’s Secret.
Fran still lives in Wales, in Haverfordwest, with her cat and
dog, enjoying long country walks. Her hobbies also include entomology,
natural history in all forms, travel, horse riding, folklore and
music. |
