Paeony Lewis has always loved books and spent many years working for a non-fiction publisher. She now lives in Norwich and has two children, Tim and Emily. It was through reading to them that Paeony was inspired to write for children. She especially enjoys writing humorous tales for 5-8 year olds and picture books for younger children, including I'll Always Love You and No More Biscuits. Recently, Paeony couldn't resist writing a story that reflected the almost unbearable excitement that grows in children as a birthday approaches. Her daughter still crosses days off the calendar and when she was a toddler moved the hands of a clock to make time move faster! This new book with Piccaddilly Press is called Hurry Up, Birthday.
