Rachel left school at sixteen but she later took A-levels and
did a BA in visual art, specialising in photography, at the University
of Wales.
She’s had a variety of jobs, as a secretary, information
assistant, photographer and P.A., but making hand-made cards led
to Rachel becoming a writer and illustrator for children. She
had always wanted to do this – as a child she used to write
and illustrate her own poems and stories and remembers her primary
school teachers saying they looked forward to seeing her work
in print!
Rachel lives in south east London with her husband, two sons
and one cat and drives a very old VW Beetle, with attached moss
and spiders. Piccadilly Press has published her picture book,
Rosie’s Holiday. |
