Jonny Zucker always wanted to be an author and he wrote loads
of stories while at school. However, he was always being told
off for: a) writing stories when he should be listening, and b)
plotting the downfall of the teachers.
He went to Manchester University where he socialised, played
the guitar and regularly got out of bed very late in the afternoon.
How he got a degree no one actually knows, but there was rumour
of bribery.
After university Jonny realised he needed to get a “proper
job” so that he could afford to buy basic items, like food
– so he trained and worked as a teacher. He spent much of
his time in school: a) writing stories when he should be in class,
and b) keeping his eye out for pupils plotting the downfall of
the teachers. He supplemented his teaching income by writing part-time,
composing songs for a children’s theatre company and doing
stand-up comedy gigs in the evenings.
Eventually he started to write full-time and has now written
over thirty books for children, teenagers and adults. One Girl
Two Decks Three Degrees of Love is his first book for Piccadilly
Press.
Jonny lives with his wife and two young children in north London. |
