Gus is very cross when Mum and Dad tell him they have to go on a long journey away from the dusty plains where he likes to play, and he kicks up a really big fuss. The longer the journey goes on, the worse Gus gets!

But, after travelling a long time and playing all the travelling games his family can devise for him, he sees in the distance where it is they are going – the waterhole! Conker and Nudge

There once were two anteaters called Conker and Nudge. Conker was the big one with the long nose and the bushy tail. Nudge was his little brother.
