Cut Off

Ava feels out of place in her high-achieving family – and hates being compared to her clever and beautiful sister, Victoria. She has no idea that Victoria, barely able to cope with the pressure to be perfect, is concealing a terrible secret.

But soon an unexpected turn of events brings their relationship to crisis point. Will they see how much they need each other or remain cut off forever?

A poignant book, beautifully written – partially in blank verse.

Soul Love

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies
– Aristotle

Why was I so bothered by the boy in the deck chair? He was too cute for his own good. Probably treated girls like arm-candy, like Jackson did. And when there was any real trouble he’d walk away too…

Despite first impressions, Jenna soon learns that Gabriel isn’t like other boys, and she begins to think that being stuck at her aunt’s in the country all summer might not be such a bad thing. The more time Jenna spends with Gabriel, the more deeply in love she falls. Could he be her soul mate?

But Gabriel is difficult to read – sometimes they get along great, and other times he seems distant. It’s not long before Jenna discovers that Gabriel is living with a dark secret…

Fall Out

"I've got nothing to say to you."

I spat out the words and slammed down the phone. I was shaking. It was Tuesday. In a few days' time, Lotte would be back from her holiday.

I was on my way to my room to listen to some music to take my mind off things when Toby called from the kitchen, "Stella?"

"WHAT?" The last thing I needed right now was to be bombarded with stupid questions.

"Stella, the tea towel…"

"Use your eyes. It's hanging by the cooker."

"I've got the tea towel, but…"

"I'm not washing up a sticky spaghetti saucepan!" I yelled back, just as I reached my bedroom door. Come to think of it, there was a bit of a burnt smell making its way up the stairs.

"Stella…the fire extinguisher. Does it work?"

Stella and Lotte were best friends forever…until one summer something happened that changed everything. Now Stella can't bear the sight of Lotte, and yet she misses her. But once you've fallen out with your best friend, things can never be the same again, can they?

A fresh and funny new voice in teenage literature.
