French For Kissing
Saturday morning arrived and I got into the car. Mum gave
me a kiss and a hug like she didn’t want let me go, and a copy
of Vogue. I think she got me confused with some millionaire’s
child.
Poppy gave me an old copy of The Face.
'It’s got your favourite singer in it. You want
to marry him, I read it in your diary-a, page fifty. Ha. Ha.'
'Isn’t it time for your medication MisTake-In-The-Community?' I
shouted back.
'Now girls, don't upset your baby brother,' soothed
Mum.
Maybe Camp Happy wasn’t going to be so bad after all. At
least Lily would be away from her mad family.
But three weeks in the Lake District with no one she knows
and only e-mail to contact the outside world certainly isn’t
Lily’s idea of bliss! What if it drives her in Lily's words, 'completely bonker's crazoid, quel tragic!'
However, Camp Happy brings new insights, adventures and experiences
to the irrepressible and determined Lily!
‘This is a great humorous story, written in a lively style… it should fly off the shelves.’

'Fizzes with energy, bad puns and teen attitude.'
